Bulls v Highlanders
Loftus Versfeld Stadium
Pretoria, South Africa
Saturday, 7 March 2020
Kick-off is at 17h15 CAT
Bulls will take on Highlanders in the 2020 Super Rugby match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday, March 7.
The South African giants remain winless in this year’s competition having lost 39-24 to Argentine side Jaguares on February 29.
They are placed 15th on the overall standings and they have recorded only one point from four matches.
Pote Human, the Bulls coach, says they have their backs against the wall heading into their clash with Highlanders.
“We need to do things a little different this week, we are in Round 6 and are yet to win,” Human said.
“Tough choices had to be made and the players and I understand what needs to be done and accept the accountability thereof.
“There is no doubt that we have our backs against the wall and will need to deal with that pressure to restore the pride and belief of the Loftus faithful.”
Meanwhile, Highlanders are targeting their second win in this year’s competition having lost 28-22 to Australian side Rebels at home on February 28.
The New Zealand outfit is placed 13th on the overall standings having accumulated five points from four matches.
Highlanders will be looking to return to winning against Bulls, who are also desperate for a victory.
The last time Bulls and Highlanders clashed in the Super Rugby was on the 7th of June 2019.
The two teams played to a 24-24 draw in a match which was played at the Forsyth Barr Stadium.
