Sharks v Stormers

Jonsson Kings Park Stadium

Durban, South Africa

Saturday, 14 March 2020

Kick-off is at 15h05 CAT

Stormers will square off with Sharks in the 2020 Super Rugby match at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium on March 14.

The South African giants are keen to return to winning ways after succumbing to a 33-14 defeat against New Zealand side Blues at home last month.

They will look to their top scorer Damian Willemse, who has scored 37 points in this season’s competition.

John Dobson - Stormers coach

John Dobson, the Stormers coach, says they need to improve ahead of their clash with Sharks as they look to return to winning ways.

“I don’t think we’ll change too much in our next game,” Dobson said.

“We were well beaten by the Blues and it happened so early in the game. I was worried about our character in the first half especially and we’ll need to sort this out.

“Everyone inside the change room agrees and we all know that this result did not show who we really are,” he added.

“We know where our issues are, technically, but the fact that we didn’t stay in fight does concern us and we need to fix this quickly.”

Curwin Bosch in action for Sharks

Meanwhile, Sharks are looking to continue their good form in the Super Rugby having defeated Argentine side Jaguares 33-19 at home last weekend.

The South African side will pin their hopes on Curwin Bosch, who has scored the most points in this season’s competition, 72.

Stormers and Sharks are placed third, and sixth respectively on the overall standings heading into their South African Derby clash.

The last time Sharks and Stormers clashed in the Super Rugby was on 15 June 2019.

Sharks defeated Stormers 12-9 in a match which was played at the DHL Newlands Stadium.
